The construction work for the Oaklands Road Playable Street project, which has been much delayed due to Covid-19 restrictions, has now started and should be completed in November. The project, which is funded by London Borough of Brent’s Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy Fund, was devised to address long-standing problems associated with the congested environment, air pollution and lack of public space in Cricklewood town centre.

The Wright Family fruit and veg stall will be open throughout this construction period.

The study to monitor pollution, using sensors installed on the site and on the Broadway, is being undertaken by Airlabs.
